...but first...congrats to STEPH FUGAL! She has won the $50 certificate to Gatehouse in Orem. Thank you to her and those of you who sent emails out telling your family and friends about us! We appreciate your support! Info coming soon about December's drawing!
I saw this arch in the entrance of Roberts and knew I wanted to do one for my front porch. I love how it turned out and it makes me so happy to drive up to my house everyday and see it all decorated! (Just excuse the lovely wire hanging from the wreath...I've bought a more discreet alternative and haven't gotten around to fixing it yet!)
Roberts sells a simple white arch for $20 (I found it at the AF Roberts...the one I saw in Orem was a little different and quite a bit more expensive). With the 40 percent off it was only $12...pretty great deal! It's not extremely sturdy, but as long as you have a space it can stand up against (or if you did one inside it wouldn't matter) it will hold just fine.
Supplies...
Six 12 foot garland strands, $4 at Walmart
Three strands of 100 white lights, $2.50 a box at Walmart
Two strands of grapevine, $4 each at Roberts
Nine yard bolt of ribbon, $5 at Hobby Lobby
Picks and ornaments from Hobby Lobby, Rod Works and TaiPan
This is my favorite ball...$5 each at TaiPan. They would look awesome in a Christmas tree as well!
The ornaments hang from both the front and back of the arch. You can shove the picks into anywhere they'll stay!
I also like how the wreath turned out and ties in with the arch. I never found one I loved this Christmas so I made it. Used the 50 percent off at Roberts and got the pre-lit wreath for $15. I bought two $5 boxes of ornaments from Walmart and tied them into the wreath with fishing wire.
For around $50 I was able to create a fun Christmas welcome to the guests who come to my home!
Very nice! Very creative. Looks super!!
