Fun Find: Large Apothecary Jars

Kallee and I headed up to TaiPan yesterday and found some great things.  The best was their large apothecary jars.  The tall one was only $9.97.  The other shorter, fatter one was $13.97.  That is half the price they normally are.  I bought two and incorporated my other smaller one in as a grouping of three.  I love how they look and am headed to the store for Valentine candy filler.

I snapped this picture in Osmond Design.  I like how they layered the candy.  Check back tomorrow for more fun Valentine decoration ideas.

A Table of Jars

This year, I wanted to do something different on my table for Christmas.  I saw a table full of apothecary jars in Utah Valley Magazine and thought to try it at my house.  I love all of the glassware and only had to buy mini candy canes and the small green glitter balls.  Everything else was somewhere in my house.  Look around this Christmas and reuse items in a different way!

Fun Finds-Apothecary Jars

I found these great, small apothecary jars at Roberts.  They were $11.99 each, but I used the 40% off two items on Tuesday and Saturday to get them for $7.19 each.  I filled them with Goldfish crackers, candy pumkins, caramels, and candy corns.  I love how they look on my counter finished off with a bow.  My kids love helping themselves to a treat or snack.  I love that I can use them year round filled with different treats and colors.  Roberts has a great selection of sizes and the best price when combined with the 40% off coupon!

Fun Find: Glassware x 3

My Fun Find for today is one of my favorite decorating techniques.  I love groupings of glassware, whether they be jars, vases, etc.  I got these at Tai Pan for under $5 each.  I bought the tube of berries there as well for $3.97.  Glassware always looks elegant and you can fill them with whatever you find that you like.  The trick is to find glassware in varying heights and shapes.  Again, use a shelf at the store to put your 3 in a grouping.  Play around with them until you find the ones you like best.  This is a cheap and easy decorating idea for a table, shelf, etc that needs a little pizzazz!
